I've always been bothered by the phrase "God wants a personal relationship with you." It has never set right with me when I have heard preachers say this. The phrase makes Him sound like a unconfident school girl dreamy eyed over her first crush. I've even said it before out of habit of hearing it so much, and cringed inside when it left my mouth. I'm sure it made me sound like I was channeling Joel Osteen, so I can only pray it was unconvincing and hopefully ignored as it was WRONG.
The term Baptismal Regenerationist was originally used of the Anabaptist who required that believers be baptized again if they were sprinkled as a baby. Today when called a "Baptismal Regenerationist," the person giving the accusation isn't referring to a second baptism at all, but to an allegedly wrong motivation for a first baptism. So, for the sake of accuracy, if I am to be impugned I would prefer “Water Regenerationist” as the implication is that I believe salvation's power is in the water.
Pray for Obama. He is hurting.
He thinks leadership is imperialistic, achievement is theft, the killing of babies birth control, and the Constitution racist. His world is literally upside down and he has never seen the world as it truly is. To him good is evil, evil is good.
Known as an expert in all he surveys, he freely shares his opinions on politics, science & theology using diatribes based upon careless research from tertiary sources that presupposed what he thought in the first place.
